Wild Birds

TREE accepts all species of wild birds into care: Hawks, egrets, herons, ducks, geese, owls, gulls, pelicans, kestrels, songbirds, wading birds, shore birds, etc. Reach out promptly if you have concerns of an orphaned or injured wild bird

Note: Certain wild birds are considered nuisance/feral/invasive species and are not allowed to be rehabilitated according to federal and state law to include: House Sparrows, Muscovy Ducks, European Starlings, Pigeons, and Mute Swans

Domestic Animals

TREE does not accept abandoned, injured, or orphaned domestic animals into care. For concerns about injured domestic animals please reach out to your local humane society or animal control unit:

Domestic Birds

TREE cannot accept Muscovy ducks, chickens, domestic ducks (Pekins, Runners, etc.), guineas, domestic turkeys, or similar domestic fowl into care. Please reach out to your local farm animal rescue group or animal control unit for assistance.


Wild Mammals

TREE no longer accepts wild mammals into care. Reach out promptly to Evelyn’s Wildlife Refuge for any concerns regarding injured or orphaned wild mammals.
